Having completed several large HMO’s of this size, this conversion is well within our comfort zone. We identified Bolton as an area for future growth and found this centrally located property on the market via auction. We negotiated the purchase price below market value outside of the auction with the vendor. One of our long standing investors became a JV partner on this project and it was converted to a high spec HMO.
We felt the impact of COVID with this project being half way through a full back to brick refurbishment in March 2020. We completed the project after several months of delays in November 2020 and the entire property was immediately leased by a professional sports team.
